Speeding Up Sales, One Transaction at a Time

B2B SaaS

2022

Summary

Ezpawn needed a faster, more flexible way for employees to complete sales in high-traffic environments.
The goal: unlock one extra sale per day by cutting the time and effort spent on point-of-sale tasks.

My Role

I led strategy and design for a mobile POS experience that went beyond transactions — it reimagined how employees work. I ran workshops, interviewed users and stakeholders, and aligned with engineering to translate real-world friction into a focused, scalable solution.

The solution

We launched Ezroam, a mobile POS built for speed, clarity, and flexibility. It streamlined daily workflows and empowered employees to sell directly from the floor, no counters, no delays.

Challenges & Pivots

Employees were juggling multiple disconnected systems while customers walked out due to long lines. We needed to design for speed and clarity — on small screens, in high-pressure moments. The team made a key pivot: shifting transactions from fixed registers to the sales floor, empowering employees to close sales on the spot. We prioritized a design system that reduced friction, misclicks, and hesitation.

Impact

The results were immediate and powerful:

  • $12M in new annual revenue

  • 30% faster transaction times

  • Fewer walkouts thanks to mobile checkout

  • A POS so intuitive it eliminated training overhead and boosted confidence on the floor

Output

A clean, lightweight POS that handled everything from scanning to upsells — right in the aisle. Fast, mistake-proof, and easy to learn, it changed how the floor sells.

What I Learned

Designing tools for front-line employees means designing for momentum. If it slows them down, it doesn’t ship. This project deepened my belief that UX isn’t just about usability — it’s a revenue driver.
